All summer long, the Haute Maurienne Vanoise resorts will be hosting some twenty events. Cycling, mountain biking, trail running, culture... Events organized by the Tourist Office in conjunction with its partners. These major events showcase the destination's assets and boost visitor numbers and the reputation of the resorts.

Mountain biking: Transmaurienne Vanoise, Enduro des Alpes, Enduro du Jeu

Mountain biking is one of Haute Maurienne Vanoise's key summer activities. With hundreds of km of trails and new facilities regularly built by the Communauté de communes. 3 events are once again on the program to showcase enduro and cross-country mountain biking: the TransMaurienne Vanoise, the Trophée Enduro des Alpes and theEnduro du Jeu.

Haute Maurienne Cyclo Challenge: 6 road climbs reserved for bikes

This summer, cyclists will once again be able to take advantage of bike-only roads for the Haute Maurienne Vanoise Cyclo Challenge. For these 6 climbs, motorized traffic will be banned all morning. Prizes will also be awarded to the cyclists who accumulate the most altitude difference over the 6 stages. The Cyclo Challenge begins on June 23 with the Iserane and ends on August 18 with the Bellecombe climb.

Culture and local life

Culture, heritage and local life are real assets that also enable Haute Maurienne Vanoise to stand out from the crowd, and they are also highlights of the summer agenda. These include a new edition of the Tango Festival, recalling the history of immigration between Val Cenis and South America, the Fête du Rocher and the unmissable August 15 festivities organized by local communes and associations. Last but not least, Aussois hosts the^2nd edition of the "Camp de Base" Festival, which this summer will be devoted to mountain airs.

Outdoor: Trail, climbing, Nordic walking and biathlon

Trail running is becoming increasingly popular in Haute Maurienne Vanoise, a region with a wealth of assets for this sport. In conjunction with the Tourist Office's outdoor ambassador Thibaut Baronian, some of the world's best trail runners will once again be coming to Haute Maurienne Vanoise this summer. The Trail EDF Cenis Tour de Val Cenis is once again one of the highlights of the summer.

Climbing and mountaineering also have their own event, with the "Grand Parcours" organized in Aussois in association with the FFCAM. It's a weekend highlighting the routes, via-ferratas, mountaineering races and climbing and mountaineering culture of the resort and valley.

In Nordic sports, Bessans is once again hosting the Nordic Walking of the Alps, and hopes to welcome the greatest French and international champions to the Biathlon Contest.
