Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourist Office

The Board of Directors of the Tourist Office

The Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourist Office is organized in the form of a Local Public Company (SPL). In France, SPLs have a public capital held by at least two local authorities (or their groupings). The SPL Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourisme (the legal and administrative name of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourist Office) was formed by three shareholders:

- the Haute Maurienne Vanoise Community of Municipalities (CCHMV).
- the commune of Modane.
- the commune of Val Cenis.

Each shareholder delegated to the SPL a competence which was specific to him: competence tourism for the CCHMV, competence Museobar for the commune of Modane, competence Museum of Archaeology for the commune of Val Cenis.

The Board of Directors of the SPL Haute Maurienne Vanoise is composed of 12 members. All of them are elected officials from the three shareholders of the SPL: 10 members for the CCHMV (on the Board of Directors of the Tourist Office as community councillor), 1 member for the town of Modane (on the Board of Directors of the Tourist Office as town councillor), 1 member for the town of Val Cenis (on the Board of Directors of the Tourist Office as town councillor).

The Board of Directors elects its Chairman, takes strategic orientations and structural decisions and appoints the Director of the SPL.
